Maiko Hattori, LAcMaiko Hattori, L.Ac is a NYS licensed acupuncturist who works with her patients to not only treat their immediate pain, but also looks to find the root of the problem through subsequent treatments. She utilizes Topicals, Auricular, Tui Na, Gua Sha, Cupping, E-stim, and other manual therapies in her treatments to give her patients a well-rounded treatment.

Maiko has a special interest in pelvic pain, orthopedics, pain management, gastrointestinal, vertigo, psychiatric, and PMS + GYN. Her graduate studies included internships treating patients at the VA Hospital- Pain Management Clinic, NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases: Initiative for Women with Disabilities, Columbia University Student Health Center- Athletic program, and NYU Lutheran Stroke Rehab. After graduating, Maiko worked with an acupuncturist who specialized in pelvic and back pain.

When not with patients, Maiko can be found out and about, hiking (most likely with her chocolate lab, Ella) and kayaking when she can. She also has a love for cooking and baking.

Maiko graduated Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine and is certified by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Clean Needle Technique.
